Before the Plant Build Challenge, I was fairly active but took more rest days than I needed, and my eating was not great and needed a major overhaul. I also ate out too many days of the week, and with my on the go lifestyle, I was not nourishing my body with what it needed. Since following the meal plan and PBB workouts for 12 weeks, I have lost 20 pounds after my weight not changing in years. This is big for me. I also feel great knowing my body is getting all the nutrients it needs. I feel stronger than ever, my brain fog has completely gone away, and I have fewer cravings for junk food. The meals are flavour-packed, great for my on the go lifestyle, and they keep me fueled even through my most challenging workouts. I began my PBB meal plan and workouts back in January 2021 with Challenge 1.0. I lost 10 lbs in 6 weeks, my cravings for junk food disappeared, and I now have so much energy.
Before the challenge, I was very active instructing Jazzercise classes and attending yoga. However, my eating habits worsened over the years. I was consuming more processed foods than I’d like to admit and seriously lacked nutritionally dense whole plant foods! I felt sluggish, unhealthy and not as strong with my workouts as I’d like to be. The PBB way is so nutritionally sound. The recipes are simple, flavourful and plentiful. The workouts strengthened my weaker areas and have helped me to tone up and build lean muscle.
All the diets I've been on in the past did the quick fix, calorie restriction approach and I always ended up gaining back all the weight as it was impossible to sustain. On the PBB plan, I don't feel like I'm missing out on anything, I'm always super satisfied, and I wake up feeling clear, energized and more alert.
